About Me

My photo
Artist’s statement: The nature of my work stems from photographing those things around me that I love the most. My family, my home, my garden, my dog. My intense love for color is the driving passion behind my work. I LOVE bright, vivid, bold, color. Color is God’s joyful expression of LIFE. To enjoy life in its fullness is to see the blue skies, the white clouds, the green grass. I believe that if we see clearly(that is, in His light), that we shall be able to ENJOY all the colors that surround us. Enjoying life means more than having things, but enjoying the things we have. Those things in our lives which bring the most joy are things not made by man but created by God.

LET GOD DEAL WITH THE INJUSTICES, INJURIES AND ILL-WILL IN YOUR HEART

O GOD PUT ME IN MY PLACE
For it is there that I know to be safe,
If I've been wrong let me know,
And what has seemed right, I'll let go
Because of your mercy and grace

When outside of your will, it's so cold and unreal
And brings discomfort in every way,
It's Your Word that I need on the inside of me
To bring me joy and peace day by day.

When in darkness I hide,
All my sin kept inside
Seems never to turn into day
Once again in Your Word
Can Your voice be heard
And your light lead me on in the way

It's a daily affair, walking with Him who cares,
Yielding and giving our best
All our fears will subside,
If our sins we'll not hide,
And in Him we'll find our rest.

  1. I REALY like this post. It is a good reminder that we need to check ouselves each and every day. Not only are we to give our problems, concerns, issues, and feelings to God, we also most importantly need to give ourselves to God. Doing that first will allow everything else to follow. Love Phil.

  2. God gave me that poem at the height of a particular struggle in my life. Injuries, insults, injustice's, always seem justifiable. These feelings left unattended will produce a bitter root of unforgiveness leaving you bound by your ill-will. As long as your bondage is, (however long it takes you to repent), that's how deep your bondage will be. Unforgiveness is a TRAP!
