ADVERSARY-antidikos-an opponent, an enemy)
1Pe 5:9 “Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
STEADFAST-stereos(strong, firm, immovable, solid)
ROOT-histēmi-to stand
1) continue safe and sound, stand unharmed, to stand ready or prepared
2) to be of a steadfast mind
3) of quality, one who does not hesitate, does not waiver
FAITH-a strong and welcome conviction or belief that Jesus is the Messiah, through whom we obtain eternal salvation in the kingdom of God .
AFFLICTIONS-pathēma-that which one suffers or has suffered
a) externally, a suffering, misfortune, calamity, evil, affliction
1) of the sufferings of Christ
2) also the afflictions which Christians must undergo in behalf of the same cause which Christ patiently endured

1Pe 5:10 ”But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you].
GRACE-charis-of the merciful kindness by which God, exerting his holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, keeps, strengthens, increases them in Christian faith, knowledge, affection, and kindles them to the exercise of the Christian virtues

SETTLE-themelioō, to lay the foundation, to make stable, establish, grounded (in love)
